September is Fall Prevention Month!

Fact: One out of three older adults (65 and older) falls each year, but less than half talk to their healthcare providers about it.  To decrease your risk of a fall, you should exercise regularly, ask your doctor or pharmacist to review your medicines, have your eyes checked frequently, make your home safer by reducing tripping hazards, adding safety features and consider enrolling in a class to learn more fall prevention tips.   To sign up in a Matter of Balance (fall prevention) class, call Jessica Walker at 214-954-4218.
