Cervical Health Awareness Month

Human Papillomavirus, known as HPV, a very common infection that spreads through sexual activity. Also a major cause of cervical cancer. And each year, more than 11,000 women in the United States get cervical cancer. Regular screening tests (called Pap tests) and follow-up care, can help prevent this deadly disease. No insurance or under insured, contact 2-1-1 for a local health care clinic and information on how to apply for the Women’s Health program.
