The Community Council of Greater Dallas is the community-based organization contracted with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to conduct outreach and application assistance in Dallas County for the Children’s Health Insurance Program, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and
long-term care (Medicaid for the Elderly and People with Disabilities).

The Community Council is a member of the Dallas CHIP Coalition. The Coalition, facilitated by Children’s Medical Center Dallas, seeks to increase public awareness of children’s health insurance coverage. The coalition meets monthly to plan joint activities and share information.  To find out more about the coalition, please send your contact information to admin@ccgd.org.
