Benefits Counseling Program
The Benefits Counseling Program provides legal assistance and awareness regarding public benefits and long term care insurance. The goal is to assist older adults age 60+, caregivers and those eligible for Medicare regardless of age in understanding issues such as Social Security, SSI, Medicare, and Medicaid. Services are provided by state certified Benefits Counselors in one-on-one counseling sessions at designated counseling sites.
This program is further enhanced by educational training sessions for older adults and professionals on topics that will help them obtain accurate information in the area of public benefits. Check the calendar of events page on this Web-Site for current training opportunities.
