Access to Benefits Coalition

The DAAA coordinates activities of the local coalition designed to find, educate and enroll Medicare beneficiaries with limited incomes–both seniors and younger beneficiaries with disabilities–in extra help (also known as the Low-Income Subsidy, or LIS). Individuals are also informed about other public benefits and long term care insurance. Coalition members are asked to participate in training activities and enroll clients as appropriate. This project is supported by the National Council on Aging (NCOA).
