Directories
2-1-1 Texas InfoLine's Resource Department maintains a comprehensive database of over 3,100 health and human service agencies and thousands of programs and services available in our eight-county service area. The database is continually updated by a full-time team of professional resource database professionals and a certified database resource manager (CRS) to monitor the quality and consistency of the database.
Agencies listed in the 2-1-1 Texas InfoLine database must meet our agency
inclusion criteria and complete an annual review to update their information. Database listings are also updated throughout the year when we are notified of changes affecting services.
Our database meets the standard requirements (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader) of the national industry association Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS). The database listings contain information necessary to provide the best possible service referral, such as description of services, eligibility requirements or exclusions, target groups, geographic service area and restrictions. In addition, the languages offered, application procedures, hours of operation and fee requirements are also included.
The listings are not intended to promote a particular service provider or program. The information contained in our database is classified using the national AIRS endorsed Taxonomy of Human Services; a classification system designed for use of automated information and referral systems.
A SourceBook is published annually that lists agencies and programs that are contained in the database. Another annual publication, the Aging Information Directory, lists services that are available for the elder population in Dallas County. Other specialized directories are available upon request.
