For over sixty years  the Community Council of Greater Dallas has provided the right place, the safe place where interested citizens, organizations, agencies, and departments of government can work together effectively to determine community service needs in the Greater Dallas area and to aid in bringing about an orderly development of services and adequate programs to meet such needs.

The Community Council of Greater Dallas is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Greater Dallas, enabling each individual to achieve his or her full potential.
Mission
The mission of the Community Council of Greater Dallas is to serve the community by providing leadership in:

Determining priority issues and solutions in the Health and Human Service arena
Convening partners to significantly impact service delivery
Increasing awareness of and access to services
Strategic Goals
Lead in identifying high priority issues
- Serve as a neutral convener
- Conduct research into emergency and current issues
- Provide advocacy on issues within Council’s mission
Impact the delivery of services and their accessibility
- Provide the highest quality direct services
- Subcontract for highest quality direct services
- Communicate a wide variety of information to service providers and the public
- Create and offer publications to connect people to services and raise awareness
Exemplify financial stability and good stewardship of resources
- Provide excellence in internal financial stability and accountability
- Operate Custodial Accounts for other nonprofits
- Serve as an incubator for new services & organizations
- Serve as Plan Administrator for nonprofit group insurance
The Community Council of Greater Dallas is about SOLUTIONS...where issues can be researched, planned, coordinated and implemented. COLLABORATIONS and COALITIONS are more than buzz words. They have been the operational guideposts for over 60 years at the Community Council of Greater Dallas.
